Jungkook's 'GOLDEN' surpasses 150 weeks on Spotify global chart, longest run for any Asian solo artist album
BTS Jungkook's debut solo album 'GOLDEN' has logged over 150 consecutive weeks on Spotify's weekly global album chart—the longest run by any Asian solo artist.

150 weeks and counting
GOLDEN, Jungkook's first solo studio album, has now spent 150 consecutive weeks on Spotify's weekly global album chart as of October 2026. No Asian solo artist album has charted longer. The November 2023 release keeps climbing.
At launch, the numbers were already staggering. It pulled approximately 39.65 million streams on day one—the highest first-day total for any K-pop solo album. The title track "Standing Next to You" debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and stayed there for 19 weeks. On the physical side, GOLDEN shifted roughly 2.43 million copies in first-week sales on Hanteochart, a solo artist record at the time.
The broader streaming picture
Jungkook's solo catalog crossed 10 billion cumulative Spotify streams in 2025. He was the first Korean solo artist to hit that number and still holds the highest total among them. His personal account has since climbed past 11 billion.
It started with "Seven (feat. Latto)" in 2023. That single topped both domestic major music charts and the Billboard Hot 100. It reached 1 billion Spotify streams in 107 days—fast enough to earn a Guinness World Record.
Awards and recognition
Jungkook received the Hwagwan Culture Medal (화관문화훈장), a state-level honor for his contributions to popular culture and arts through both group and solo work. He has placed in the top tier of overseas Korean Wave surveys in the most preferred Korean singer/group category for three consecutive years.
