Kim Hye-jun's character starts dating Cha U-min, then shares an accidental kiss with Kang Hoon in tvN's 'Choeae-ui Sawon'

Episode 5 of tvN's 최애의 사원 (Choeae-ui Sawon), which aired August 17, pulled a national average of 4.0% and a peak of 4.7%, ranking first in the cable and general programming same-time slot.

이찬 (Cha U-min) traveled to 남다름 (Kim Hye-jun)'s business trip location to confess his feelings. He showed her a photobook she had made him years earlier. "When the team disbanded and things were difficult, this book helped me endure," he told her, then asked her to be there for each other going forward. After deliberating, 남다름 accepted. The two began dating.

The relationship hit its first snag almost immediately. During a dinner date they had worked hard to schedule, 이찬 left before the food even arrived because of a work commitment.

강하기 (Kang Hoon) stepped in. Walking with 남다름 afterward, he told her directly: "You are a sufficiently good person — you don't need to meet a rude guy who leaves first at a blind date." When she deflected with her usual "I'm fine," he pushed back: "At least with me, you can say it's not okay."

She finally admitted it. "Actually it wasn't okay. When I pretend to be fine, I look less pathetic. I always just swallowed it, but today it hurts a bit."

First snow began to fall as the two sat on a bench. A handkerchief covering 남다름's knee blew away in the wind; when 강하기 caught it and turned back toward her, their lips touched. An accidental kiss that neither saw coming. (강하기 had already told 남다름 earlier in the episode that he has "a woman he's interested in" — so the accident lands with full dramatic weight.)

Earlier in the episode, 남다름 and 강하기 had pitched a traditional knot DIY kit to master craftsman 임청림 (Gil Hae-yeon) on behalf of their company, Apello. The pitch succeeded: Apello was selected for the National Heritage Administration's K-Wave Project, and 강하기 named 남다름 as the project manager.
