Kim Moo-yeol held his first official fanmeeting in Seoul on Aug. 23 after two decades in the industry. Taiwan comes next month.

Kim Moo-yeol held his first official fanmeeting on August 23 at Gavin Art Hall in Seoul—roughly 20 years into his career. The event, titled 2026 KIM MOO YUL 1st FANMEETING <마주>, ran 140 minutes.
He opened with a live performance of "The Origin Of Love" from the musical Hedwig, a callback to his stage work before acting became his focus. Then came the talk segments: 별님의 우체통 (fan-submitted questions), 인사이드 무열 (reflections on acting), and 무열의 인생그래프 (a life retrospective). Singer Jung Jun-il joined him for duets of "안아줘" and "Nothing's Gonna Change My Love for You."
When fans staged a surprise slogan event, Kim responded: "I will not forget today and will act with greater happiness." His closing: "Thank you so much. I will repay you well going forward. One way I can repay is through acting, so I will work hard to create good works."
Seoul was the first stop on an Asia tour. Taipei follows on September 6 under the title 2026 KIM MOO YUL 1st FANMEETING <마주:遇見> in Taipei.
The fanmeet arrives on the heels of Kim's run on Netflix's 참교육 (Authentic Education). The series hit No. 1 on Netflix's Global TOP10 Non-English Shows and landed at No. 10 on the all-time most popular non-English series list. (Different metrics, both worth noting.)
