NCT 127 dropped the 'Blingy' MV on Aug 24 with their 7th studio album. Taeyong addressed Mark's April exit and confirmed the group's full contract renewal with SM.

NCT 127's title track Blingy hit YouTube on August 24. The same day, their seventh studio album BLINGY went live across platforms. Nine tracks. The slogan: "CALL 127." It marks the group's 10th debut anniversary.
Five members showed up to the press conference that morning at Sky31 Convention in Songpa-gu, Seoul. Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Jaehyun, and Haechan fielded questions. The current seven-member lineup came together after Mark's departure in April 2026, when his exclusive contract with SM Entertainment ended.
Taeyong spoke directly about Mark. "As a member who walked this path together for 10 years, I personally respect him," he said. "I know how hard he worked doing two teams. Since each person's path is different, I respect and support that path."
On the full group re-signing with SM, Taeyong didn't hold back. "All members renewed their contracts as NCT 127, meaning we trust the company and move forward," he said.
He got real about the decade of lineup shifts. When NCT 127 debuted, he'd pictured everyone still there 10 years later. Reality hit different. "When going through those times, it was heartbreaking and difficult to adapt," he said. "The seven members want to repay the memories and trust we built with fans over 10 years. Since we gathered together after a long time, we came to trust and rely on each other more. This album was made to show an even better image as NCT 127."
(Ten years in, and they're still doing the work of explaining who they are.)
