Berkeley music student On Jae-eun drops second single 'My Love' on Aug 22

On Jae-eun releases her second single 내 사랑 (My Love) on August 22 at noon across online music platforms. It's been roughly three months since her official debut.

She debuted on May 16 with 파란눈 소녀 (Blue-Eyed Girl). 내 사랑 is a rock track she wrote and composed herself, centered on unexpressed feelings for someone and the growth that comes from letting that love go.

The production lineup is seasoned. 이희태 (REDO), who has worked on albums by singer-songwriter 연정, handled arrangement, keyboards, and bass. 권주원 plays guitar—he's collaborated with O.WHEN, Wooze, and Huh Hoe-kyung. Drums come from 박재준 of 단편선 순간들, who won the Modern Rock Album of the Year at the 2026 Korean Popular Music Awards.

Her label 그로이엔터테인먼트 described the track as featuring "delicate vocals and lyrics" alongside a rock sound that actively uses variable time signatures and tempo changes. (A rock track built on shifting meters from a college student—that's a statement of intent.) The label added that On Jae-eun aims to convey "the message that love is not necessarily beautiful only when fulfilled, and sometimes love shines longer because it was unrequited."

After the August 22 release, On Jae-eun plans to continue with various activities.
