RISENNÉ's Wonee opens up about early fears as 'LOVE ATTACK' and 'Pretty Girl' both hit No. 1

RISENNÉ's debut track LOVE ATTACK climbed the charts on a reverse run to reach No. 1. Last month's Pretty Girl followed with a music broadcast No. 1. But leader Wonee says the group's rise came with real anxiety.

On Aug. 28, Wonee's YouTube channel posted a video titled 원이 근황 (Wonee's Update). Shot as a fake documentary set in 2026, it imagines Wonee as a top star, with fellow member Liiv appearing as her secretary.

Wonee was direct about the pressure she felt early on. "Back then, I ran really hard because I was worried RISENNÉ would disappear," she said. Debuting as an adult and holding the leader role made her think about the group's future more deeply than the others might have.

Liiv offered a different frame. "I didn't think of us as individuals. I just thought of us as family." The members had promised each other that even if things fell apart completely, they'd find something else to do together. They even floated the idea of pooling money to open a cafe.

The video also featured a conversation with the channel's PD. Wonee asked what would have happened to them without that meeting; the PD suggested the group might have broken through somewhere else, but acknowledged the uncertainty. "We became popular through this channel," Wonee said. "The timing matched well. This needs to go on for a long time. If it just goes for one more year..."

Member Gayoung, watching the video, put it simply: "It's kind of sad. Is it just me? It's funny but I really wonder what will happen in the future."

The channel has been central to RISENNÉ's profile this year. The group used it to show members' honest, unfiltered sides, and the resulting visibility tracked alongside both chart milestones.
