THE BOYZ's New to release solo single 'LOVE:SEA' on September 4

THE BOYZ main vocalist New (Choi Chan-hee, 27) is releasing a solo single, LOVE:SEA(사랑:해), on September 4, 2026 at 6 PM KST. A teaser image went up on August 31.

New handles the major high-note sections and ad-libs in THE BOYZ title tracks — Bloom Bloom, REVEAL, and THRILL-ING among them. He forms the group's vocal line alongside Sangyeon and Kevin. His tone is clear but husky. He has also put out solo vocal tracks through group albums, including '봄바람처럼 날 찾아와'.

Outside the group, he spent March 20 through May 31 this year playing Romeo in the musical Romeo and Juliet. He previously appeared on Mystery Music Show Mask King (복면가왕) where he performed behind a mask and earned recognition for his vocals. He has also served as a special DJ on an idol music-focused radio program.

LOVE:SEA is his first standalone solo single. The sea-themed title—사랑:해 doubles as both "love: sea" and a play on "I love you" in Korean—is doing a lot of work in one colon.
