TWS's Japanese single 2nd album 'SODA SODA' debuted at #1 on Oricon's Daily Single Ranking with over 161,000 first-day copies sold.

TWS dropped their Japanese single 2nd album SODA SODA on August 4. The numbers came fast.
161,253 copies sold on day one. Straight to #1 on the Oricon Daily Single Ranking (August 3 chart date). That single day outsold their previous Japanese single Nice to See You Again, which moved roughly 150,000 copies across its entire first week. The title track hit #1 in the Dance category on both iTunes and Apple Music Japan's Top Songs chart (August 5), landed in Line Music's real-time Song Top 100 right after release, and crossed over to Korea's Melon Hot 100. The music video placed #2 on Line Music's Music Video Top 100 in Japan and #3 on YouTube's Daily Popular Music Video chart in Korea.
SODA SODA itself is about moving forward while holding onto the sparkling moments of youth, according to the group. Palm Tree depicts a leisurely summer beach night. The third track is a Japanese-language version of 내가 S면 넌 나의 N이 되어줘, the title track from their Korean mini-album 2nd SUMMER BEAT!.
Around 10,000 fans showed up to an event at Diversity Tokyo Plaza on release day. TWS performed SODA SODA on Fuji TV's music program STAR on August 6, then played the Mezamashi WANGAN Festival on August 7 with an 11-song setlist that included every track from the new album.
Their first-ever VR concert RUSH ROAD screens at Fukuoka T·Joy Hakata from August 24–30, then moves to Kanagawa Yokohama Burg 13 from September 9–22. Six members—Shin Yu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, Gyeongmin—and Japan is clearly not sleeping on them.
