WEi's Kim Dong-han announces September 7 military enlistment in handwritten letter to RUi

WEi's Kim Dong-han is heading to the military. On August 25, the main dancer and lead vocalist posted a handwritten letter to fandom RUi announcing he will enlist as an active-duty soldier on September 7.

"Hello, I am Kim Dong-han," he opened, keeping it straightforward. He closed with two lines: "Thank you very much. I will go and return healthy" and "I hope you won't worry too much."

Kim Dong-han's path runs from project group JBJ through a solo career and into WEi, which debuted October 5, 2020 with the mini album IDENTITY : First Sight. The group then released the Love series—Love Pt.1 : First Love, Love Pt.2 : Passion, Love Pt.3 : Eternally—before dropping mini 7th album The Feelings and mini 8th album Wonderland. Group tracks include Hug You (안고 싶어) and 모 아님 도 (Prod. 장대현).

Solo, he built a mini album trilogy: D-DAY, D-NIGHT, and D-HOURS AM 7:03. D-DAY earned him a music program No. 1. Other solo tracks include SUNSET, GOOD NIGHT KISS, and FOCUS.
