WeJiSu released 'ROMEO' on August 18, the third entry in her digital single series, with rising actor Shin Woo-bin starring opposite her in the music video.
WeJiSu dropped her third digital single ROMEO on August 18 across major music streaming platforms, with the music video going live the same day via her official SNS channels.
ROMEO follows True To Myself and 6.8인치 세상 in WeJiSu's ongoing digital single series. The track pairs lyrical ballad sensibility with rhythmic production and rock energy, building toward an explosive rock vocal section in the latter half. A harder pivot than her previous releases in the series.
The music video reinterprets a classic love story through a modern lens. Actor Shin Woo-bin (사람엔터테인먼트) plays the male lead opposite WeJiSu. Shin starred in director Jung Ji-young's film My Name Is (내 이름은) and was invited to the Berlin International Film Festival on the strength of that role. BK&Media said: "If you carefully observe how the song's lyrical yet confident energy harmonizes with various production elements in the video, you will be able to feel a fresh sense of fun."
WeJiSu has another digital single scheduled for September, with additional performances and events planned after that.
