ZEROBASEONE drops Japanese EP '回帰LOVE' on Aug 19, ~10 months after last Japan release
ZEROBASEONE returns to Japan on August 19 with their second Japanese EP '回帰LOVE', their first Japanese release in roughly 10 months.
ZEROBASEONE will release their second Japanese EP 回帰LOVE on August 19 at midnight. All tracks drop simultaneously across online music platforms.
The timing lands after a major run. Their sixth mini album Ascend-, the first under the current five-member lineup of Sung Han-bin, Kim Ji-woong, Seok Matthew, Kim Tae-rae, and Park Gun-wook, hit #1 on Japan's Oricon weekly foreign album chart. It swept Japan iTunes' full album, K-POP, and POP charts. Spotify's trending chart went to them too. Billboard World Album Chart ranked it #3.
Awards followed. Four prizes at the 35th Seoul Music Awards. The ULTIMATE 12 category at KMA 2026.
Meanwhile, the members scattered into their own projects. Sung Han-bin, Kim Tae-rae, and Park Gun-wook took MC slots at music programs and major award ceremonies. Kim Tae-rae joined Sanulim's 50th debut anniversary project, contributed to a drama OST, and released cover content. Seok Matthew became a promotional ambassador for Seoul Tourism Foundation's Visit Seoul campaign and has been building out a personal YouTube channel. Kim Ji-woong held fan meetings in both South Korea and Japan. (ZEROBASEONE debuted through Mnet's Boys Planet in 2023.)
