AIWEO's second pre-release lands with a message for tired youth

Authentic's rookie four-member girl band AIWEO dropped the music video for 신발끈 on September 11. The track comes from their upcoming first EP BE MY HUG, which hasn't received a release date yet—but the MV is already live.

Singer-songwriter Han Roro (한로로), a labelmate senior, co-wrote the lyrics. The song speaks to slowing down and catching your breath, offering comfort to anxious, exhausted young people. "You are crying anxiously while wearing shoes that don't fit." Then: "It's just loosened for a moment to enjoy the breeze." A third line closes it: "The past days might become special."

Pre-debut rollout, by the numbers

This is AIWEO's second MV pre-release. They previously dropped a video for 아이우에오, another track on the same EP. Before either video, the group built out their public identity in sequence—official team name, logo, announcement video—and stated their direction as "Our resonance greater than a single voice."

The pre-debut rollout also included a six-part documentary series. Each episode covered why a member started making music, their individual goals, and how the team came together.

Debut tied to festival slot

AIWEO's official debut will coincide with a spot on the lineup for WONDERLIVET 2026 (원더리벳 2026), described as Korea's largest-scale J-pop festival.
