At 48, Chae Jeong-an has won four major awards across music and drama. She just gave 15 million won—raised with fans—to a youth nonprofit.

Chae Jeong-an (also credited as Jang Jeong-an), 48, debuted in July 1999 with Mujeong, the title track from her first album. The single won her the New Artist Award at the 10th Seoul Music Awards. Her second album's title track, Pyeonji, peaked at No. 5 on the KBS Music Bank chart.
Then came acting. In 2010, she took the PD Award in Acting for Reversal of Fortune. The Female Acting Award at the 4th Asia Pacific Star Awards followed in 2015 for Yong-pal. In 2018, she won the Female Excellence Acting Award at the 11th Korea Drama Awards for Suits. Four awards. Two industries. Nearly two decades.
Variety shows have featured her too. She performed a live stage of Mujeong and dances from her debut era on JTBC's Ask Us Anything. She's appeared on tvN's Life Bar, JTBC's Please Have a Meal with Me, JTBC's My Lifestyle, and Channel A's Full Beauty.
In May, Chae Jeong-an and her fans held an offline flea market at a café in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The event was tied to her personal YouTube channel Chae Jeong-an TV. It raised 15 million won, which she delivered to the nonprofit organization Wiki Korea.
On the 7th she visited the organization and volunteered for the Wicket Box program, which supplies daily necessities to young people preparing for self-reliance. The funds support Wicket Box shipping operations and the establishment of an educational facility.
(She runs Chae Jeong-an TV as an ongoing channel covering self-management, daily life, and makeup tips.)
On the 5th, she posted a mirror selfie—smartphone covering her face, full body in frame—with the caption: "A day in the life of a woman living with sincerity."
