ILLIT drop '체포하겠어' MV teaser as black agents ahead of Oct. 26 'BREAK EVEN' release
ILLIT's 5th mini album 'BREAK EVEN' arrives Oct. 26 at 6 PM. The title track teaser already pulled 1M stage views in 21 hours and topped Spotify's Pre-save Top 10.

Chopsticks, a soybean soup restaurant, and one very guilty "어장관리남"
Black-clad agents. A konguksu restaurant turned operations base. The first 체포하겠어 MV teaser, posted October 23, opens with ILLIT deep in character. Wonhee hurls chopsticks at a surveillance board. The target pinned to it reads 어장관리남—roughly "the guy who strung you along." Everyone looks tense.
체포하겠어 is an electro-pop track about cutting ties with someone who mistook your politeness for actual interest. The members don't get swept up in old emotions. They just leave. The production rides on a bright whistle sound built around the title, with a hook designed to burrow into your head and stay there.
The numbers before the album even drops
ILLIT performed the track live at ILLIT LIVE 'PRESS START♥' ENCORE in KOREA on October 17 and 18. The stage video hit 1 million views roughly 21 hours after upload. By October 21, it ranked No. 1 on YouTube's Daily Popular Music Video Korea chart. It also charted in Japan and Singapore.
BREAK EVEN crossed 500,000 Spotify pre-saves before any official release. The album itself hit No. 1 on the platform's Pre-save Top 10.
What's left on the rollout calendar
A second MV teaser went live October 25. The full album and 체포하겠어 music video drop October 26 at 6 PM. October 27 brings Wonhee to JTBC's 아침& weather segment at 7:30 AM—her first time as a daily weather caster since debut—where she'll introduce BREAK EVEN on air. (She recently hosted Coupang Play's variety show 원희는 스무살, so the camera isn't unfamiliar territory.)
ILLIT debuted in March 2024. Earlier singles: 마그네틱, 낫 큐트 애니모어, 잇츠 미.
