500K pre-saves, #1 chart — before the album even drops
ILLIT's mini 5th album BREAK EVEN claimed the top spot on Spotify's Pre-save Top 10 and crossed 500,000 pre-saves as of October 23. The group announced the release schedule on September 21. From there, the numbers climbed roughly 100,000 every six days.
The album title refers to the break-even point of a relationship — neither loss nor gain. The title track, "체포하겠어" (Chaepohagesseo), is an electro-pop song built around a bright whistle sound. The label describes it as strongly addictive with an upbeat beat.
Live debut, then the charts followed
ILLIT performed "체포하겠어" for the first time at ILLIT LIVE 'PRESS START♥' ENCORE in KOREA on October 17–18. The stage video went up on the group's official YouTube channel. By October 22, it had entered YouTube's Daily Popular Music Video chart in 13 countries and regions — South Korea, the United States, Japan, and the United Kingdom among them.
The preview audio also landed at #5 on Instagram's Reels Popular Rising Audio Chart dated October 22. Pre-album chart activity across three platforms at once isn't typical.
What's still coming before Oct. 26
ILLIT dropped the first music video teaser for "체포하겠어" on October 23. A second teaser follows on October 25. The full album audio and complete music video release on October 26 at 6 PM.
Fans tracking the pre-save pace — 100K every six days since September 21 — will have a clear number to watch when the album goes live.
Cheer the story
