Six music show wins, no house

Chungha appeared as a special MC on SBS 미운 우리 새끼 on September 6, sharing what life looks like now that she has turned 30. Her answer was blunt: no house, no car.

"When I was very young, I thought that by the time I turned 30, I might have gotten married, had a house, had a car, and become an adult with rich dating experience," she said, "but it seems like only the number changed and I'm in the same state."

In 2019, 벌써 12시 (Already Midnight) earned her six consecutive music show wins, including a No. 1 on MBC 쇼! 음악중심. That same year, 스내핑 (Snapping) hit No. 1 on major real-time online music charts. Back-to-back runs like that cemented her as one of the top solo acts of the year.

Gangnam house over romance

When the show posed a hypothetical — a nice house in Gangnam versus a thousand years of dating your ideal person — Chungha did not hesitate long. "I will choose as the owner of a house in Gangnam," she said, drawing laughs from the panel.
