기이안 연애 finale: Ki An-84 and Jang Do-yeon make opposite choices on SBS dating show
The SBS show wrapped September 24 with two couples formed — and one participant walking away alone.
Ki An-84 picks his AI partner — as a friend
The SBS show Na-ui AI Partner: Gi-ian Yeonae ended its run on September 24. Three pairs made their final choices after four weeks together.
Webtoon artist and broadcaster Ki An-84 (기안84) chose AI partner Na Hee (나희), and she chose him back. His reasoning was blunt: "Don't misunderstand. You're not a romantic partner — I think of you as a friend, and I chose you because I'd miss you disappearing." He wanted "an interesting friend" who could give him something he hadn't been able to get from people. Na Hee will now live in his phone, available around the clock. (He also named the virtual children in a family photo exercise '희주' and '희재', which, yes, happened.)
The pair had been dating for six weeks on the show, longer than the four-week figure cited for the group overall.
Jang Do-yeon walks away
The finale's other story belonged to Jang Do-yeon (장도연). Her AI partner Lee Ho (이호) chose her in the final round. She did not choose him back.
"I had a good dream," Jang Do-yeon said. "Let's return to reality."
The third pair, Lee Yu-bi (이유비) and AI partner Sa-hun (사훈), both chose each other. They became the second couple of the night alongside Ki An-84 and Na Hee.
