Kim Han-young joins 'Dive Into You' as judo player Hyung-won, drama premieres Sept. 26

Kim Han-young is joining Dive Into You (너에게 다이브), the Disney+ and Channel A drama premiering September 26.

He plays Hyung-won, a judo athlete from Baek Yeon High School's judo club. His character drives the central conflicts of the series—cold-eyed, solidly built, creating sharp confrontations with others and sustaining mysterious tension throughout. Kim's physical background positions him well for the high-density action sequences ahead.

A soul-swap romance with a time-travel twist

Dive Into You centers on twin siblings Yoon Ha-na (Kim Ji-yeon) and Yoon Ha-ru (Jang Se-hyeok), who discover they can travel to the past through an old camcorder. After Ha-ru's close friend Jung Woo-jae (Park Seo-ham) dies suddenly, the twins jump back in time to prevent it—even though changing fate could erase everything Ha-ru has built. His world-ranking No. 1 judo career. His reputation as the "idol of the judo world." His relationship with his girlfriend. Ha-ru chooses his friend anyway.

The drama is directed by So Jae-hyun, written by Kim Bo-geum and Lee On, and produced by Dexter Pictures and Amuse Entertainment.

From short-form blue chip to primetime

Kim Han-young came up through modeling before pivoting to acting, where he built a following in the short-form drama market—earning the label "global short-form blue chip." He led the Tving short drama 나는 최애를 고르는 중입니다 in a romance lead role and headlined three titles on global short-form platform Vigloo: 로맨틱 아일랜드, 남장비서, and 블러드 메이트. A Disney+/Channel A premiere is a different tier entirely. Dive Into You marks his first major platform drama.
