Yang Hong-won infidelity allegations: agency denies, couple unfollows each other on SNS

Allegations surface six days after the wedding

Rapper Yang Hong-won, 27, faced infidelity allegations just days after his wedding ceremony with former model Won Hyun-ju, 29, on May 18. On May 23, someone identified as A posted multiple SNS entries claiming Yang Hong-won visited a motel in Suwon with a woman, B, whom he'd met at a drinking gathering.

The timing stings. Yang Hong-won and Won Hyun-ju registered their marriage in 2023, welcomed daughter Rua Yang in November 2024, and had been sharing parenting content on YouTube channel 양홍원의 육아일기 since May—before the allegations dropped.

Agency's account of the night

AP Alchemy acknowledged that Yang Hong-won drank with B at A's residence, then went to an accommodation with her. According to the agency, Yang Hong-won was heavily intoxicated. He went to a motel the whistleblower designated. B accompanied him because she had nowhere else to go. "There was no intimate behavior whatsoever in the room," the agency said. Yang Hong-won fell asleep immediately upon entering. B then left with the whistleblower.

On the broader allegations, AP Alchemy was blunt: "The whistleblower's claims differ from the facts, and the materials presented by the whistleblower are maliciously edited results."

B posted her own statement: "The whistleblower demanded money and threatened me, but when I did not give money, they made the disclosure. I have filed a criminal complaint."

Yang Hong-won and B each filed separate complaints against the whistleblower for extortion, violation of the stalking punishment law, and defamation based on false statements.

SNS signals

After the allegations surfaced, Yang Hong-won and Won Hyun-ju unfollowed each other on SNS. Won Hyun-ju deleted all her posts and removed her profile picture. Neither deleted couple photos taken together. Both still follow the official 양홍원의 육아일기 parenting channel account.

On May 24—the day after the allegations went public—Yang Hong-won released collaborative single Plan B with U.S. rappers Lil Gnar, Shaiboytobee, BIG 9ULPO, and Costa Cashman. He performed ROSE at the 2026 Ska Festival: Super-Swag at KBS Arena.
