Lee Seung-chul announces he's a grandfather as daughter gives birth to Jeong Yu-han Grayson

Lee Seung-chul becomes a grandfather

Lee Seung-chul posted a newborn photo to social media on September 16. "I... became a grandfather today ^^" he wrote.

His first grandchild is named Jeong Yu-han Grayson. In the same post, Lee added: "My eyes open and look. My first grandchild seeing the world for the first time, Jeong Yu-han Grayson, welcome."

Back in March, he'd already predicted this moment. Appearing on the variety program 노빠꾸탁재훈, Lee told viewers: "When fall comes, I will have a grandchild." He was right.

The daughter who came into his life in middle school

The baby's mother is Lee's first daughter, Lee Jin (이진). He met her when she was in the third year of middle school. Lee Jin married on October 19 of last year.

Lee Seung-chul remarried in 2007 to Park Hyun-jung (박현정), a businesswoman two years his senior. They have a younger daughter together, Lee Won (이원). His first marriage, to actress Kang Moon-young in 1995, lasted two years before ending in divorce.

Lately he's been in a reflective mode. He recently appeared on KBS 2TV's 다큐멘터리 네버엔딩 이승철, a documentary where he looked back on his life, including his cannabis use in 1989 and 1990.
