NCT 127's 'BLINGY' hits #1 on domestic, QQ Music, and AWA charts; top 10 on iTunes in 26 regions

NCT 127's seventh studio album BLINGY (블링이) hit number one on South Korea's domestic music and album charts within days of its August 24 release. China's QQ Music ranked it first on both the digital album sales chart and regular album sales chart. Japan's AWA real-time trending chart gave it the top spot. The album cracked the iTunes Top Albums top 10 in 26 regions worldwide.

A Korean music video chart added another #1. Four chart-topping positions across three countries in the first week.

The rollout was everywhere. NCT 127 plastered outdoor ads across 13 cities in South Korea, the United States, and China. The BLINGY music video ran on massive digital billboards at Seoul's Shinsegae Department Store main building media facade, Seoul Station, New York's Times Square, Tokyo, and Osaka. Google search for "NCT 127" now pulls the new album logo at the bottom of results. Click it and neo-green fireworks explode across the screen alongside "127"-shaped animations, with a live heart counter ticking up with each tap.

The group opened a popup called NEO LOST&FOUND CENTER at Musinsa Empt Seongsu in Seoul from August 25 to September 1. Three more are coming: Shanghai (September 30–October 11), Tokyo (October 16–November 1), and Bangkok (October 28–November 7).

Brand deals stacked on top. Musinsa wrapped free-shipping, same-day-delivery orders in NCT 127's toad-pattern tape. Duolingo jumped in too—its mascot "Duo" shares the group's neo-green color—and launched a BLINGY dance challenge with the members. (Green as a brand bridge between a K-pop group and a language app is a choice, and it worked.)
