Onew's fourth Japanese single lands September 16

Onew posted a commentary video for his fourth Japanese single, KAKERA -運命のピース-, on September 11. Five days later, the single hits music sites on September 16 at 6 PM.

Five tracks make up the release: the title KAKERA -運命のピース-, two original Japanese songs Tock-Talk and Spring Rain, plus covers of 明日への手紙 and エイリアンズ.

A love song built from small pieces

Onew called the title track "a love song that honestly conveys the miraculous happiness and joy felt after meeting a fateful person." The song captures gathering pieces of happiness with that person one by one—small daily moments stacking into something larger.

On returning to Japanese fans roughly a year after his last release, he said: "I prepared as hard as you waited. It is very meaningful to me that I can continue to connect with you."

Tokyo concerts follow the release

Onew will hold solo concerts in Tokyo on September 22 and 23. He flagged both shows in the commentary video alongside the single release. Two nights in Tokyo right after a drop signals this is a proper era opener, not a one-off.

He closed with a straightforward ask: "I am preparing good music and stages, so please love it."
