Seo Dong-hyun released 'Nostalgia' with an official MV on August 31, then performed an 18-minute Dingo Music live session the next day.

Seo Dong-hyun dropped the music video for Nostalgia (노스탈지아) on August 31. The track had been floating around in unofficial form for years—originally teased as part of Young People (젊은이), an album he mentioned on MBC Radio's Spoking Ko Young-bae in June 2022. That album never materialized as an official release, existing only on SoundCloud.
But Nostalgia found listeners anyway. Influencers made AI-assisted remix versions. The song built a following in the underground before Seo Dong-hyun finally gave it a proper release with a video attached.
He kept the momentum rolling. The day after the MV dropped, he showed up on Dingo Music for an 18-minute live session.
The release lands after a rougher patch. On April 16, Seo Dong-hyun released the diss track INDYSTRY KNOWS, sparking a beef that drew unfavorable attention. His earlier catalog—Let's Call It Love (정이라고 하자), Joker, Just 10CM (딱 10CM만)—had already locked in his vocal color and style, but the controversy muddied things.
Nostalgia reads like damage control. Fans have been vocal about it: "Even if you get really angry, you forgive because of the skill" is what's circulating in his comments. (Hard to argue with that.)
Whether the MV turns SoundCloud buzz into a wider audience remains to be seen.
