Kim Yong-ji weds in hanok courtyard
Kim Yong-ji married on October 11 in an outdoor ceremony at a hanok courtyard. Kim Go-eun, her classmate, posted wedding photos on social media—the first public word of the wedding. No dating rumors had preceded the announcement.
Actor Bae Jeong-nam also congratulated her online. "Yongji, congratulations on your wedding," he wrote in dialect. The two worked together on the 2018 tvN drama Mr. Sunshine, where Kim played Hotaru.
Kim Go-eun and Kim Yong-ji studied together at Korea National University of Arts, graduating in 2010. Both were born in 1991. The fact that Go-eun was the one posting ceremony shots says something about how close they've stayed.
From ad campaigns to Netflix
Kim Yong-ji debuted in 2015 with Samsung Galaxy Gear and Hera advertisements. Her acting credits grew from there.
Mr. Sunshine (tvN, 2018) cast her as Hotaru. She appeared as Ki Yu-ri in Tale of the Nine-Tailed (tvN, 2020) and as Seon-woo Eun-ho in Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938. Netflix brought Somebody and Lady Dua (released February 2026), where she had a special appearance as Shin So.
In June, Kim posted on social media: "Until the day I become the claw machine champion." The message offered no hint of what was coming.
