BIGBANG's Daesung lights up Sydney as XX : COSMOS world tour hits 20th-anniversary stride
Daesung performed in Sydney on Oct. 31 as BIGBANG's 33-show, 19-city 2026-2027 world tour marked the group's 20th anniversary.
Sydney stop, 20 years in
Daesung (강대성, 37) took the stage in Sydney on October 31. BIGBANG's BIGBANG 2026-2027 WORLD TOUR XX : COSMOS rolled through its international dates, and the lead vocalist shared photos from the venue with fans.
The tour spans 19 cities across North America, Europe, and Asia. That's 33 performances total. It marks the group's 20th debut anniversary, kicking off at Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium before heading overseas. BIGBANG dropped the digital single BiiiG on August 19 ahead of the tour.
Daesung's two decades of work
Daesung debuted with BIGBANG's single first album BIGBANG in 2006. He launched solo activities in 2008 with the digital single 날 봐, 귀순. Outside music, he voiced the lead character Sammy in the 2010 animation Sammy's Adventure and took the lead role of Hadesung (하데스) in the 2011-2012 drama Musical Survival What's Up.
More recently, he was selected as the new model for education brand Daesung My Mac in 2025, fronting a test-taker support campaign. He's set to continue with the brand into a 2027 campaign titled Believe it., serving as the face of its online lecture platform. (The name overlap between artist and brand is either a marketer's dream or a scheduling headache.)
He also runs a YouTube content series called 집대성 under the name D'splay. His agency is R&D Company (D-Lable).
