BTS's 'Arirang' tour drives $340M in Las Vegas; RM's SFMOMA show sells 66K tickets
BTS's world tour and RM's San Francisco museum show are pumping hundreds of millions into cities from Las Vegas to Busan.

$340M in Las Vegas, 66K tickets in San Francisco
BTS's world tour Arirang and its companion project The City Arirang generated over $340 million (approximately 451.1 billion won) in economic impact in Las Vegas. The industry calls it "Bangtan-omics"—the measurable city-level effect of a BTS tour stop, now quantified.
June's Busan show moved the needle faster. Small business sales rose 3.6% in the four weeks surrounding the performance versus the same period a year prior. Foreign visitors spent harder: consumer spending jumped 71.7%, accommodation sales surged 148.1%, restaurant sales climbed 72.3%.
RM's art show rescues a museum in deficit
San Francisco's story runs parallel. RM x SFMOMA: Between You and Me pairs 142 pieces from RM's personal collection with 36 works from SFMOMA's holdings. Over 66,000 tickets sold since opening. Pre-sale demand hit six times the museum's previous record for any exhibition.
The museum needed it. SFMOMA carried a $5 million deficit and had cut 7.5% of its workforce before the show opened. Exhibition merchandise sold out in roughly three hours.
