izi's Oh Jin-sung releases 'Slow Dream,' a tribute to fathers everywhere

A song for every father still chasing it

Oh Jin-sung, vocalist of band izi, released his new single 느린 꿈 (Slow Dream) on October 20 at noon across online music platforms. The track speaks directly to fathers—specifically those who haven't reached their dreams yet but keep going anyway.

Oh, himself a father of three, co-wrote the lyrics from his own life. Bae Sang-jae, a guitarist and composer at HYBE, handled all production work: songwriting, composition, arrangement, and music direction.

Oh said the song is "encouragement and comfort for all fathers in the world who have not yet reached their dreams but are living fiercely even if slowly." He hopes it becomes "a small strength for all fathers who move forward without giving up even if their steps toward their dreams are a little slow."

The animated teaser and what's coming next

A roughly 30-second animated MV teaser arrived ahead of the single. It follows a man meeting someone he loves, getting married, becoming a father, and watching his children grow—a straightforward visual summary of the song's emotional arc.

The full music video and additional challenge content roll out sequentially after the audio release.

Dad Challenge: 1 million won on the table

Oh Jin-sung is running a "Dad Challenge" to mark the release. Fathers post a video of themselves singing 느린 꿈 on personal SNS and leave a comment on Oh's official account to enter. Prizes:

  • 1st place (1 winner): 1,000,000 KRW family travel fund
  • 2nd place (3 winners): luxury pool villa accommodation vouchers
  • Additional prizes: children's health food products

The challenge is open to fathers specifically—which, given the song's whole premise, makes sense.
