'WhyKiiiKiii' lands NetEase Music's Q3 Korean album crown
WhyKiiiKiii, KiiiKiii's third mini album, has been named the most popular Korean-language album on NetEase Music's official Q3 2026 chart. Released in August, it also topped Kugou Music's Korean chart at launch and entered four separate QQ Music charts—new songs, popular songs, rapidly rising, and Korean. One of the group's strongest China rollouts to date.
The album title pulls from Waikiki and frames itself around the question "Why KiiiKiii," answered through the individual musical personalities of all five members: Jiyu, Isol, Sui, Haeum, and Kiya.
A Q3 that kept stacking
The NetEase recognition caps a busy stretch for the group in China. In August, KiiiKiii took home a trophy at Tencent Music's TME live International Music Awards 2026. From October 9 to 11, they performed at the halftime show of NBA China Games 2026 in Macau and appeared at the accompanying fan festival NBA House Macao 2026.
Back in July, "404 (New Era)" ranked #1 on Billboard's "25 Best K-pop Songs of 2026 (So Far): Staff Picks."
What's next
KiiiKiii heads to Tokyo on October 25 for KiiiKiii Festival Japan Edition at Jeff Haneda, scheduled for 6 PM local time. Variety series KiiiKiii Pang Pang drops every Friday at 7 PM on the group's official YouTube channel. (Their official fandom name is Tiki.)
