Kim C returns to public eye with fashion pictorial after roughly 10-year hiatus
Kim C, off air since 2010, resurfaces in Aize's October 8 shoot for Spectator's 2026 autumn/winter campaign.

A decade away, then a fashion shoot
Kim C debuted in 2000 with Hot Potato (뜨거운 감자) and spent years as a fixed cast member on KBS2's 1 Night 2 Days before stepping back from broadcast in 2010 to focus on music. He largely stayed away. On October 8, fashion magazine Aize posted a pictorial featuring Kim C alongside fashion brand Spectator. Photographer Kwak Ki-gon shot the campaign for Spectator's 2026 autumn and winter season.
Roughly 10 years separate that 2010 exit from this October shoot. The timeline includes a reported divorce in 2013 and a privacy controversy in 2014 after a relationship with a stylist became public.
The rally post that preceded the comeback
Before the pictorial, Kim C had already signaled a return. Last year he attended a rally related to the arrest of former President Yoon Suk-yeol. On January 4, he posted on Instagram: "차 아닌 사람으로 한남대로를. #wedotillwecan" — walking Hannamdae-ro as a person, not in a car — alongside photos and videos from the march.
He added: "자랑스럽다. 부드럽다. 강하다" — proud, soft, strong — after describing protesters cautioning against crowding on downhill slopes, watching for electrical wires, and falling silent in front of hospitals.
The Aize pictorial marks his first formal entertainment-industry project since the hiatus began.
