Kim Geon-mo signs with Music and New at 35-year career mark, national tour runs to 2027
Kim Geon-mo signed with Music and New for new music and distribution. His sold-out 35th Anniversary Live Tour runs through 2027.
New label deal, 35 years in
Kim Geon-mo signed a partnership with Music and New on the 26th, covering new songs, album releases, music content production, and distribution. The deal lands as the veteran singer marks his 35th year since debut.
July brought 어디쯤 가고 있을까 ("Where Am I Going"), which crossed 1.6 million music video views. On the track, Kim Geon-mo played acoustic guitar himself — the first time he'd done so since his debut, a shift for an artist long known for the piano.
Sold-out shows and a tour that won't quit
His first solo concert in roughly six years happened in March. Both the Busan date and the Seoul Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium show sold out fast.
The 35th Anniversary Live Tour kicked off in Daegu on the 10th under the official title 김건모. 35TH ANNIVERSARY LIVE TOUR. What's left on the calendar:
- Oct 31 — Jeonju
- Dec 5 — Gwangju
- Dec 26 — Goyang
The tour runs through 2027. A national run stretching across two calendar years, with new label infrastructure behind it.
Kim Geon-mo's next album will be the first project to come out of the partnership with Music and New.
