Kim Geon-mo launches his 35th anniversary tour in Daegu on Oct. 10, with stops through 2027 in Goyang, Gwangju, and Jeonju.

Kim Geon-mo kicks off the Kim Geon-mo 35th Anniversary Live Tour in Daegu on October 10. The run extends into next year across Goyang, Gwangju, and Jeonju—a nationwide sweep for an artist 35 years into his career.
This follows a March solo concert at Seoul Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium. He hadn't played Seoul since December 2018. Seven years and three months passed between those two nights. At the March show, a female audience member shouted "I want to marry you!" Kim answered: "It's a mess." The crowd laughed. He waved a light stick at them and grinned. "Look at this, it's dizzying, right?" Only someone with 35 years behind them can riff on K-pop concert culture and make it land.
Kim has spoken openly about what he lost. A 2016 incident at a bar in Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul led him to suspend activities. The prosecution issued a no-probable-cause disposition in 2021. He divorced his ex-wife in 2022.
He addressed it head-on: "The tower I had built up over 28 years did not take long to collapse."
His framing of this tour isn't about reclaiming what he had. "Now rather than building a tall tower alone," he said, "I want to create a warm path that my juniors and longtime fans can walk together."
