IVE's Liz and Gaeul appear on 'Jeon Hyunmoo Plan 4' ahead of 'Looks Can Kill' release Oct. 26
Liz's mom revealed her daughter hid behind her as a child because strangers kept touching her face — days before IVE's fifth mini album drops.
IVE's fifth mini album arrives Oct. 26
Gaeul and Liz from IVE stopped by Jeon Hyunmoo Plan 4 on Oct. 23 for a restaurant tour through northern Gyeonggi Province. The variety show episode aired four days before the group's fifth mini album, Looks Can Kill, drops on the 26th.
Liz's mom stole the episode
Liz's mother appeared on the show alongside host Jeon Hyunmoo, who greeted her by noting they were born in the same year—1977. (Liz's father was born in 1973; Gaeul's mother in 1974.)
She came with stories. The family's special-occasion treat was jjajangmyeon at a Chinese restaurant, upgraded with expensive menu items on big days. Her take on Liz's school years: "From elementary school, the teacher said she was an exemplary student. She received the filial piety award and the good child award every year."
On looks, she pointed to the grandparents. "Grandmother and grandfather have good looks." The performance talent? That came from her.
Then she explained the shyness. Strangers kept touching Liz's face because she was so pretty. It made her severely shy as a child. "She kept hiding behind mom," her mother said. Being too pretty as a toddler is genuinely a new one.
Looks Can Kill drops Oct. 26
The variety appearance is part of IVE's pre-release push for Looks Can Kill, scheduled for October 26.
