Bigongjung release industrial rock single 'Psycho', confronting those who erase their past
Bigongjung dropped 'Psycho' on Oct. 23, a Nine Inch Nails- and Seo Taiji-inspired industrial track aimed at people who deny what they've done.

'Psycho' lands three weeks after its live debut
Bigongjung (비공정) released Psycho on October 23, roughly three weeks after performing the track for the first time at the 2026 Busan International Rock Festival on October 4.
The song sits in industrial rock and noise pop territory. During recording, the band drew from Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, and Seo Taiji. Kim Jung-jin (김중진) handled the single's artwork.
What the song is actually about
Kite, the band's agency, described Psycho as "a song that began by looking at traces left under someone's name." The message: "those who erase and deny what they have done to at least not turn away from what you have left behind."
Vocalist Kang Heum (강흠) cut to it:
"No matter how stained and wanting to hide a moment, it is also clearly a part of oneself. I wanted to point out the cowardly attitude of just covering it up."
The track emerged from "carefully gazing at the trajectory of one person's life," he said.
Who Bigongjung are
Five members make up the band: Kang Heum (vocals, guitar), Ryu Gyeong-seon (guitar), Jung Hwan-gyu (bass, synthesizer), Seo Min-gwang (drums), and Park Sang-gyu (engineer). The name Bigongjung (비공정) translates from the Chinese characters 飛空艇 as "a ship that flies through the sky."
They debuted in September 2023. Since then, they've stacked wins on the domestic indie circuit. Gold award at the 2025 Pentaport Super Rookie competition. Fourth place in the Indiestrands final. Their debut album Hellvetica landed in Hellokpop's 2025 year-end 'Best Rock & Alternative Album' Next 10.
Psycho is out now.
