Kim Hee-jae's 'REVERB' sells 114,586 copies in week one; jacket shoot behind-the-scenes part 2 coming
Kim Hee-jae's third album, *REVERB*, sold 114,586 copies in week one. More jacket shoot photos are coming to the fanclub.

114,586 first-week copies for REVERB
Kim Hee-jae dropped his third regular album, REVERB, on September 7. It moved 114,586 copies in its opening week. The 11-track set spans trot, europop, and ballad—two tracks are instrumental versions. Title track "안녕은 정말 싫어" leads a lineup that also includes "누나야," "이런 날 기다렸나요," "사랑이 떠나가네," "왜 떠나가요," "다 가져가," "잊으려오," "나한테 넘어오시면," and "흔들려."
The album title refers to the resonance that lingers in a space after music ends. It tracks with the emotional register Kim has built across his discography.
A career built on competition stages and award stages
Kim, 31, was born in Ulsan in 1995. He picked up the nickname "Ulsan's Lee Mi-ja" competing in broadcast song festivals during his school years. He later placed in the final TOP7 on audition program 내일은 미스터트롯 and served in the Navy Military Band. His role model is Jang Yun-jeong.
The awards shelf is long.
In 2020, he won the Korean Wave Culture Awards' Next Generation Korean Wave Star Award. He took the Hot Trend Award at the 12th Melon Music Awards. The 2021 Korean Image Awards gave him the Stepping Stone Award. At the 2024 Trot Music Awards, he won Hot Performer Award and Top 10 Singer Award. He repeated the Top 10 Singer Award at the 2025 Trot Music Awards. The 2026 Hanteor Music Awards named him 2025 Best of Adult Contemporary.
What's next for Heerang-byeol
Off stage, Kim runs charity work alongside his official fanclub "희랑별" (Heerang-byeol) and the Korea Welfare Sharing Foundation. At home he keeps two dogs named Cream and Vanilla. (The dogs have their own fans.)
A second batch of behind-the-scenes photos from the REVERB jacket shoot is set to go up on the official fanclub cafe.
