Kim Hee-jae promotes third album on MBC's 'Save Me Holmes,' calls new song a dance track, not trot
Kim Hee-jae stopped by MBC's '구해줘 홈즈' on Oct. 22 to talk up her third album '안녕은 정말 싫어'—and made one thing crystal clear: it's a dance track.

Kim Hee-jae takes her third album to primetime
Kim Hee-jae appeared on MBC's 구해줘 홈즈 on October 22, sitting down alongside Go Young-bae of Soran to promote her third full-length album 안녕은 정말 싫어. The show airs every Thursday at 10 PM.
She cut straight to the point on genre. "It is a dance song, not a trot." For an artist whose audience lives in trot circles, that's a deliberate signal. This record goes somewhere else.
The event-circuit life she described
The episode dug into Kim Hee-jae's working life between album drops. She told the panel what kinds of gigs she takes: "I mainly attend events for living organisms. I attend specialty product festivals, shrimp festivals, Korean beef festivals, and skate festivals." Performance styles change too. "Usually events are conducted according to age groups."
When asked if audiences still hand cash to performers the old way, she didn't hesitate. "These days there are no cases like that."
Go Young-bae, there to announce his own new mini album, was equally frank about his own standing: "Many people don't know me, so I am always humble."
(The shrimp-festival-to-album-promo pipeline is genuinely a whole career strategy and she is not apologizing for it.)
구해줘 홈즈 airs every Thursday at 10 PM on MBC.
