Kim Yeon-jun returns after a year with new single '심연의 물고기'
Kim Yeon-jun returns with his first single in a year. '심연의 물고기' dropped October 16.

A year's silence, then a song about rest
Singer-songwriter Kim Yeon-jun released his single album 심연의 물고기 (Abyss Fish) on October 16 at noon, available across all domestic and international music and streaming platforms.
His previous release, 연준무휴, came out in July of last year. That's roughly a year between singles—the longest gap in a catalog stretching back to his 2021 debut 구름. Before 연준무휴 came 기억의 숲, 빨래골, 1인칭 관찰자 시점, 꽃바람.
What the title means
The song's name translates to "a fish in the abyss." Kim Yeon-jun has been specific about what that image means: an existence that has sunk deep underwater and is resting peacefully there.
In an interview, he said the song carries his longing for his grandparents. (That framing shifts the whole thing—not drowning, but settling into stillness.)
Seven singles in. His output stays measured. His themes stay personal.
