Kim You-jung and Park Jin-young danced together at wrap party, share same birthday
Kim You-jung and Park Jin-young share more than a drama—they share a birthday. At the wrap party for tvN's '100 Days of Lies', the co-stars opened up about how they actually met.

They share a birthday — and three cakes
Kim You-jung and Park Jin-young celebrated their shared birthday at the wrap party for tvN's 100 Days of Lies, and it was exactly as chaotic as it sounds. An Elle Korea YouTube video uploaded October 26 captured them recounting the night.
Filming wrapped the day before their birthday. The cast threw a party that same evening, with a cake appearing just before midnight. Kim You-jung had to correct the record: there were actually three cakes. When a "really big birthday song" played, the two stood up and danced together in front of the whole crew.
Park Jin-young kept it straightforward: "The good thing about having the same birthday is that we can brush it off with each other."
How they actually met
100 Days of Lies is a 100-day espionage romance set in the Japanese colonial era, following Gyeongseong's greatest pickpocket-turned-spy and an elite interpreter for the Japanese Government-General of Chosun who cross paths at the heart of enemy territory.
Before any of that, the two had to figure out when they'd actually met. Asked about co-hosting Inkigayo together, Kim You-jung laughed: "We've received that question about ten times now." Neither of them initially remembered it. Park Jin-young had to send her a video for the memory to click.
The first meeting either of them actually recalls was at a brand event, where they ended up seated next to each other. By then, the 100 Days of Lies casting was already public, so Park Jin-young kept striking up conversation. He'd assumed Kim You-jung was reserved, but found her "more cheerful than I thought" and genuinely interested in talking with people.
Kim You-jung's take: "It was warm. There was a familiar and comfortable feeling. He's a stable type." (High praise from someone who clearly doesn't hand it out easily.)
