Oh Jin-seong pairs 'Slow Dream' release with charity golf tournament for vulnerable groups
Oh Jin-seong released 'Slow Dream' on Oct. 20 and is hosting a charity golf event on Oct. 26 in Pocheon, with proceeds going to elderly, foster children, and animal welfare groups.

New song, real giving
Oh Jin-seong dropped Slow Dream (느린 꿈) on October 20. Six days later, a charity golf tournament.
The track centers on fathers. Their lives, their love, the weight of responsibility, the dreams deferred while they lived for their families. Oh described it as a song he "prepared with the desire to offer comfort and encouragement to all those who live quietly in their own places."
Oct. 26 at Lasagolf Club, Pocheon
The Cozymom Bio NMK (Natural Midang Korea) Charity Golf Tournament runs October 26 at Lasagolf Club in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province, sponsored by Cozymom Bio. About 30 entertainment industry colleagues are expected: Lee Beom-hak, Jin Simon, Kim Beom-ryong, Yang Hye-seung, Park Hak-gi, Chu Ga-yeol, Kwon In-ha, Jung Su-ra, and Gu Chang-mo.
Funds raised go to elderly people living alone, children in foster care, child care organizations, and 사단법인 유기견없는도시 (No Stray Dogs City).
Why he's doing it
Oh tied the song's message directly to the donation drive. "I find this charity golf tournament particularly meaningful because I can connect the sincerity contained in the song to actual sharing," he said.
"I hope that the small sincerity and warm hearts we gather together will become great hope for someone."
He plans to keep returning the love he's received to society going forward. A singer organizing a charity tournament around a song about quiet sacrifice reads as either perfectly on-brand or genuinely sincere—probably both.
Cheer the story
