Lee Jong-suk spotted in Busan after IU breakup, praises co-stars ahead of 'Remarriage Empress' premiere
Lee Jong-suk posted Busan photos on Oct. 23, thanking his 'Remarriage Empress' cast days after confirming his split from IU.

First public appearance since the IU split
Lee Jong-suk showed up in Busan on October 23 with a string of photos on social media. His first move since the breakup with singer-actor IU went public.
The post was full of shoutouts to his Remarriage Empress co-stars. "Ji-young noona, thank you. You worked so hard," he wrote, then pivoted to Lee Se-young: "Se-young will become a star." Bae In-hyuk got the shortest line—"Bae In-hyuk, you're handsome"—before Lee closed it out: "I was grateful."
Remarriage Empress drops November 4
The drama, adapted from a popular web novel and webtoon, premieres on Disney+ and Hulu on November 4. Lee Jong-suk plays Emperor Sovieshu of the Eastern Empire alongside Shin Min-ah, Joo Ji-hoon, and Lee Se-young.
(The Busan trip timing—cast wrap energy, warm send-offs to colleagues—lines up perfectly as the show enters its final promotional push.)
Lee and IU had been public about their relationship before the breakup news broke. Neither released a detailed statement beyond confirming the split.
