Park Ki-young launches first branded concert 'FOREST' — 28 years after debut

28 years in, a first

Park Ki-young will hold her first branded solo concert — 2026 Park Ki-young's FOREST — on November 28 and 29 at Dongduk Women's University Performing Arts Center Cotton Hall in Daehak-ro, Seoul. Showtimes are 7 PM on the 28th and 5 PM on the 29th. Tickets go through NOL Ticket.

This is the first time in her 28-year career, dating back to a 1998 debut, that she has launched a concert under her own signature title. It also marks roughly two years since the 25th anniversary project concert series that ran through 2024.

What the concert actually is

The subtitle is 숲을 거닐다, 숲을 노래하다 ("Walking through the forest, singing the forest"). The concept frames the 28 years of genre-spanning music as different life forms inside a single musical forest — the show moves through quiet dawn, sunrise, midday, blue hour, and starlit night, carrying the message: "You also have a forest in your heart."

Her agency stated: "We are preparing a performance where you can pause for a moment, catch your breath, and feel a good rest that lingers long in your heart."

The setlist will pull from well-known hits and lesser-heard deep cuts, both rearranged in jazz and classical styles. New, as-yet-unreleased songs will also get their live premiere here. (That alone is worth showing up for.)

The band

The ensemble backing Park Ki-young:

  • Pianist Cho Yun-sung, drummer Lee Sang-min, bassist Kang Hwan-su (rhythm section)
  • String quartet: Kim Ji-yoon, Jung Seung-won, Lee Young-hyun, Lee Gil-jae

Total runtime is 120 minutes including a 15-minute intermission. The concert is open to ages 10 and above.

Where she's been

At her 25th anniversary, Park Ki-young released three projects: the electronic album Magictonica, the best album Love You More, and the crossover album The Classic, plus a best album LP. This spring she appeared on KBS2's Duet Across the Sea for a global guerrilla concert and recently performed on KBS1's Open Concert. Elijah Company made the official announcement on October 27.
