RAN's new single lands October 17
RAN released the digital single 지워낸 만큼 더 (The More I Erase) on October 17 across online music platforms.
The track is a traditional ballad built around a breakup's emotional paradox. The harder you try to forget someone, the stronger the longing and emptiness grow. Two lyric passages anchor that theme. The first captures the persistence of grief after a split: "another day passes slowly, a memory I still can't erase suddenly comes to me clearly, and I've been crying for a long time." The second drives the title home: "the more I erase, the more I think of you; the more I empty out, the more it fills back up — I guess it was a foolish thought that time would make me forget, and today I miss you again."
Production and career context
Pilseungbulpae (필승불패) and Jang Seokwon (장석원) handled production.
RAN debuted in 2006 with The Second Story and has stayed active since, contributing to personal album releases as well as drama and webtoon OSTs. (Twenty years in and still writing about heartbreak — respect the range.)
