Your small-biz receipt is your concert ticket: Seoul Global Art Night hits Seoul Plaza Oct 16–17
Seoul Plaza goes free for two nights in October: traditional and pop music on the 16th, a K-pop cover dance world final on the 17th. Front-row seats go to anyone who spent 30,000 won at a local busine
Receipt as ticket, front row as incentive
Seoul Plaza hosts the Seoul Global Art Night with Receipt Concert on October 16 and 17. Both evenings start at 6 PM at the plaza's special outdoor stage. Seoul City sponsors the event; Seoul Newspaper hosts it.
Spend 30,000 won or more at a Seoul small business in October and you can claim a seat in the '상생존' (Mutual Prosperity Zone) right in front of the stage. Bring your receipts to the on-site verification booth the day of the show. Stack multiple receipts to hit the threshold. One person per day gets verified. No receipt? The concert stays free—you just sit elsewhere.
A promotional booth will feature small and medium enterprises selected by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
Two nights, two very different lineups
October 16 runs two back-to-back stages.
풍류서울 (Poongryu Seoul) brings traditional music: Kim Su-in, Go Young-yeol, Yu Tae-pyeongyang, Lee Bong-geun.
소울서울 (Soul Seoul) features popular music: Lee Moo-jin, Casey, Gummy, Kim Kwang-jin.
October 17 is the 2026 K-Pop Cover Dance Festival World Final. Representative teams from 13 countries compete on the same stage. After the competition, the 서울 스트릿 웨이브 (Seoul Street Wave) showcase wraps the weekend with sets from dance crews Auspicious, 1MILLION Amazon, Rock and Roll Crew, and Han Ya.
The city's pitch
Min Su-hong, head of Seoul City's Culture Division, tied the event to urban economics: "Night culture is an important factor that expands citizens' leisure choices and drives tourism and consumption to increase urban vitality." Another city official noted the event is expected to activate the night economy around Seoul Plaza before and after the performances.
