Solbi and Lee Gyu-han to marry in April after reality show near-miss
Singer-painter Solbi, 42, and actor Lee Gyu-han, 46, are getting married in April—about a year after he turned down the final couple pick on the dating show where they met.

Singer and painter Solbi (42) and actor Lee Gyu-han (46) announced their April wedding plans on October 15, posting separately on their personal social media accounts.
They met on Oraedoen Mannam Chugu (Seeking Old Encounters) Season 3, a KBS Joy and KBS2 dating variety show that aired from July to September of last year. Solbi chose Lee Gyu-han on the show. He declined to make the final pick, citing the pressure he felt, and the two did not become a couple at the time.
Apples every season, then a class enrollment
What came next was slow and deliberate. Lee Gyu-han reportedly sent Solbi apples every season as an apology for not choosing her. He enrolled directly in a class she runs and showed up in person to express his feelings. She opened her heart. The two became a couple.
On October 21, Solbi posted on Instagram with the caption "The apologies continue" alongside a photo of a ripe apple said to have been sent by her fiancé—a callback to the whole arc.
Solbi said: "I have met my life partner and we will draw tomorrow together. I will be grateful for every moment we create together."
Her agency added that the two plan to "grow together as precious partners and supporters providing strength to each other's journeys."
Dating shows with a track record
Korean celebrity couples have a habit of meeting through variety programming. Actor Lee Pil-mo met Seo Su-yeon on TV Chosun's Yeonaeui Mat in September 2018 and married her in February 2019; they had sons in 2019 and 2022. Comedian Shim Hyun-seop met Jung Young-rim through an acquaintance introduction on TV Chosun's Joseon's Lover in July 2024 and married in April 2025; a May broadcast of the same show revealed the couple is pursuing a second child through IVF. Kim Kook-jin and Kang Su-jin—both previously divorced—reconnected on SBS's Burning Youth in July 2015, earned the nickname "Chihuahua Couple," confirmed their relationship in August 2016, and married in May 2018.
Solbi and Lee Gyu-han's April wedding would be the latest entry on that list.
