Soyeon's 'Twesa Halgeyo' earns triple music-show crown, breaks her own solo record
(G)I-DLE's Soyeon swept three music broadcast wins with 'Twesa Halgeyo (Narr. 기안84)', topping her 2021 double-crown from '삠삠' and achieving a Perfect All-Kill.
Three wins, one month
(G)I-DLE's Soyeon hit number one on SBS 인기가요 October 11, 2026 with 퇴사할게여 (Narr. 기안84). She beat ATEEZ's BAD and Lisanne's LOVE ATTACK. Three music-show wins in six weeks: 엠카운트다운 on October 1, 인기가요 on October 4, 쇼! 음악중심 on October 10. That's a triple crown. Her previous solo best was a double crown.
Back in 2021, her mini-album 윈디 (Windy) title track 삠삠 (BEAM BEAM) had set that bar. 퇴사할게여 just cleared it.
Chart sweep
Released September 7 as the title track from her first solo full-length album 끝내주는 인생, the song hit number one on real-time and daily charts across Melon, Genie, Bugs, FLO, and Vibe. YouTube Music's weekly popular songs chart. FLO's 24-hour chart. Vibe Today TOP100. iChart's real-time and weekly charts. Enough for a Perfect All-Kill (PAK). On Circle Chart, it went four-for-four (digital, streaming, ringtone, V Coloring) in both week 39 and week 40—two consecutive weeks of a Circle Chart quadruple crown.
Melon tracked the song climbing during commute hours after it entered the TOP100, which tracks with what the song's actually about.
The office-worker anthem with a 2005 reference
Soyeon paired a band-leaning sound with lyrics about quitting your job. The track features narration from broadcaster Gi An 84 (기안84). She disclosed that it's an homage to 잘 부탁드립니다 by band Ex, the grand-prize winner at the 2005 MBC University Song Festival.
Jaurim's Kim Yuna, BTOB's Yook Sungjae, comedian Heo Kyunghwan, and rapper Woo Wonjae all joined the challenge.
On JTBC 뉴스룸, Soyeon kept it simple: "This album contains 29-year-old Jeon Soyeon."
