Shin Jang-mi returns after 2.5 years with romantic disco single 'Daldalhaevo'

Shin Jang-mi is back. The solo singer released digital single Daldalhaevo (달달해요) on May 27, 2026, her first new music in approximately two years and six months since Neoeodwo dropped in December 2022.

The track is a romantic disco dance love song built around the flutter and excitement of falling in love. Her album cover leans into that mood: Shin Jang-mi sits across from a teddy bear character in a retro diner setting, expression full of giddy anticipation.

"I dreamed of standing on stage again and woke up with red eyes," she said. "Standing on stage again makes my heart feel full and like it will burst. This time I really want to prove my presence to the world."

She also laid out her longer ambition. Having carried her career from idol groups through trot, she wants to be recognized as an irreplaceable singer who moves freely across dance, ballad, and trot without being boxed in.

Shin Jang-mi previously promoted as a member of groups Litmus (리트머스) and Jaja (자자) before going solo. Daldalhaevo is her bid to remind everyone she's still here.
