BIGBANG's Daesung and KARA's Huh Youngji deny dating rumors, G-Dragon drops "까비"

BIGBANG's Daesung and KARA's Huh Youngji both denied dating rumors on June 26 in episode 113 of the YouTube channel 집대성. They'd been spotted together at a MAMAMOO concert, sparking speculation.

For Daesung, this was his first dating rumor in 20 years since debut. "It's been a while," he said. "This is the life of a celebrity." When the production team asked if he'd gotten flooded with calls, he laughed it off: "None came." His mother didn't even know. She "ate peacefully."

The BIGBANG group chat told a different story. G-Dragon shared the rumor article and messaged: "Daesung, what is this. If this is real, I really want to congratulate you" — then added "까비" (shorthand for 아깝다, basically "what a shame"). Taeyang followed up: "Didn't I say Youngji is fine? You two seem to match well" and said he wanted to congratulate him too. Daesung shut it down: "Youngji is just my younger sister."

Huh Youngji walked through the seating situation step by step. Two weeks before the concert, MAMAMOO's Moonbyul had contacted her saying Daesung would be comfortable with her and Hyojung, and to look after him. The original plan had Daesung in the middle, but the audience member next to Youngji was a man, so Daesung offered to switch. That left Youngji in the middle. About the photo that circulated: "It's a somewhat malicious photo. Oppa didn't know how to use a light stick, so I helped him."

A shop worker had greeted Youngji with "Congratulations, unnie." Daesung's makeup artist asked him "When did you secretly meet like that?" KARA's Kang Jiyoung also appeared in the episode.
