BTS plays Busan Asiad Main Stadium on Dec 12–13; average hotel rates hit 631,546 won — nearly 3× normal — and top properties are already at 90–95% occupancy.

BTS takes Busan Asiad Main Stadium on December 12 and 13. The city's accommodation market is already in crisis mode.
Across 135 lodgings tracked for the concert weekend, nightly rates have climbed to 433,999 won—2.4 times the normal price. Hotels specifically are averaging 631,546 won per night, a 2.9× jump. Some properties have gone much further. Certain lodgings are charging 7× their standard rates. Venues near the stadium are selling rooms at up to 3.5× normal.
Availability at the top end is nearly gone. The Westin Chosun Busan and Grand Chosun Busan are both above 90% reserved for December 12–14, effectively full. Paradise Hotel Busan is sitting at roughly 95% occupancy for the concert period. Foreign guests make up about 70% of bookings.
International demand is part of a broader shift. The Westin Chosun Busan and Grand Chosun Busan recorded a foreign-customer ratio above 40% in May 2024, up more than 5 percentage points year-on-year.
Hotels are leaning into the moment hard. Lotte Hotel Busan is lighting its outdoor pool jacuzzi in purple, selling purple beverages at The Lounge & Bar, offering a purple "Bubble Cake" at Delica Hans, and running a shuttle between the airport and the concert venue. Grand Chosun Busan is broadcasting BTS music videos on its exterior media wall through December 21. Paradise Hotel Busan is the official IP hotel for BTS THE CITY ARIRANG BUSAN, with BTS-themed photo zones at the Ocean Pool Rooftop and Arirang Garden, limited welcome goods for guests booking BTS-themed room packages, and a concert-tied menu that includes a "Spring Day Ade" at hotel dining venues.
"Large K-pop concerts are representative group-drawing content that increases not only room bookings but also food and beverage and ancillary facility usage," a hotel industry representative said. One BTS weekend moves more money than a month of ordinary bookings. The same representative noted that major K-pop concerts have become "key content driving regional tourism and consumption beyond simple cultural events," with hotels expanding differentiated programming so fans staying in Busan have options before and after the show.
