The ARIRANG album track gets a black-and-white visual with a twist ending — and a direct callback to the merry-go-round from 'Spring Day.'

BTS released the music video for Merry Go Round on June 19. The clip is exclusive to Spotify through a special collaboration with the platform.
Merry Go Round is a track on the group's fifth regular album ARIRANG. The song uses a never-stopping merry-go-round to tell the story of people enduring the repetitive, grinding cycle of daily life. Each member pushes through in their own way.
The video is shot in black and white and uses symbolic objects to carry that message visually. Members living separate lives converge in one space, sharing time and reconnecting. Then the twist lands in the final stretch. The space where they gathered is not a building at all, but a massive merry-go-round suspended in the air.
The callback is deliberate. The merry-go-round was a key image in the 2017 Spring Day (봄날) video, where it represented waiting and loss. Here, the same object is reframed: a place where the members' memories are stored, and a vehicle for moving toward something larger using the past as a foundation. (Nine years of lore, one prop, completely different weight.)
BTS kicks off a European leg of their world tour in Madrid, Spain on June 26–27. That leg runs 10 shows across 5 cities, with all tickets already sold out. The full tour spans 34 regions worldwide for 88 total performances.
