Belif Lab confirms Moka is halting all schedules to focus on recovery; ILLIT will continue as a four-member group with Yunha, Minju, Wonhee, and Iroha.

ILLIT's Moka has suspended all activities for the second time this year. Belif Lab said she has been dealing with excessive tension and anxiety symptoms since the preparation period for the group's mini 4th album MAMIHLAPINATAPAI.
Moka underwent treatment and recovery alongside the comeback process. She briefly rejoined the group for some music broadcast appearances in late May, but it didn't last. "We will spare no effort in providing support necessary for Moka's recovery and stability so she can stand before fans again," Belif Lab said. The timing of her return will be announced separately.
This is her second hiatus in four months. She first paused activities in April, ahead of the MAMIHLAPINATAPAI comeback, also citing health reasons. ILLIT promoted the mini 4th album as a four-member group then. Yunha, Minju, Wonhee, and Iroha will handle schedules for the foreseeable future.
Moka (real name Sakai Moka, born October 8, 2004, in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan) joined ILLIT after being selected through the 2023 JTBC survival audition program R U Next?. The group officially debuted on March 25, 2024 with the mini album SUPER REAL ME. Their title track "Magnetic" became the first debut song by a K-pop girl group to enter the US Billboard Hot 100. A debut that fast tends to stick — which makes the repeated disruptions to their lineup harder to ignore.
No return date has been set.
