Actors Kang Dong-won, Oh Jung-se & more join music association as drama idol groups hit real stages

Four actors registered with the Korean Music Performers Association (음실련) on June 11: Kang Dong-won, Eom Tae-gu, and Park Ji-hyun, who played members of fictional group Triangle in a film, plus Oh Jung-se, who appeared as ballad singer Choi Sung-gon.

Oh Jung-se went further. He released "Ni-ga Joha" (니가 좋아), the in-character song his character performed. By June 12, the video had roughly 2 million views.

Meanwhile, virtual group Migak Boyz (미각보이즈) — who exist inside the imagination of a company commander character in Tving drama Chwibyeong Jeonseol-i Doeda — made it to an actual music show stage. The group, composed of actors Kang Ha-kyung, Lee Sang-jun, Lim Ji-ho, Kang Jun-gyu, and Kim Moon-gi, performed on Mnet's M Countdown on June 11. Their title track "My Flavor" (마이 플레이버) had been officially released as a music single the previous month. Viewer comments ranged from "my bias is bitter-taste commitment" to "does Lee Sang-i appear so much that it counts as a special appearance" to "legendary fuss, honestly."

Project group Ssak3 (싹쓰리) formed through MBC variety show Nol-myeon Mwo-hani? in 2020. Their debut track "Dasi Yeogi Badatga" (다시 여기 바닷가) hit No. 1 on Mnet M Countdown, then won on MBC Show! Music Core for two music show trophies total. In October 2025, on the YouTube channel Ddeuddeu's Pinggye-go content, Lee Hyo-ri proposed "let's make a winter song once," and Yoo Jae-suk replied, "I was trying to tell Hyo-ri. I'll talk to Rain about it too" — keeping reunion and a winter carol release in play.
